Last December I hit up Nima Jalali with an email asking to do a Favouites Interview for the site. Never having met me before Nima was down to help out and he did the interview.

Then, when I found out about the release of Kr3w Snowboarding Denim I realized it would be good for the readers if I did an interview with one of the team members. Even though I still haven’t met Nima, I thought maybe if I shot him another message he would do me the favor of answering a couple questions over the email machine. He was down.

Despite a half hangover, half tired Saturday Nima fought through the wordy questions and killed it with the answers. Now click “Full Article” to check it out.

Okay lets get straight to the point, how long has Kr3w Snowboarding been in the works?
For a couple months.

Does Kr3w have a snowboard jean idea up their sleeve? and will it have zippers on the bottom of the pant legs so I can wear them in public as well as in my “camcorder home video part”?
Yeah, there’s a snow denim coming out, it was originally gonna be made for Muska, it was just suppose to keep you warm on cold days, but then once the snow thing came together it turned into a snow denim.

Why didn’t you have a part in Videograss?
I just didn’t want to film a video part, I wanted to snowboard for fun last year. but I am filming this year.

Nate: Do you think it is possible for a human-being to manage being a sponsored snowboarder, owning a goggle company, and starting a video production company?
Yes, your just always busy with something though, it’s fun.

Whats up with Videograss for this season will their be a volume 2?
For sure, the movie did really well, it’s so fucking good, everyone killed it. Were adding some new people to the vid, Kooley, Jordan, Will, myself, Jed, Grennier, Johnny. Were figuring out the name of the movie right now.

Is there anyway that you could rig the Videograss golden ticket contest so I could win the free session at High Cascade Snowboard Camp?
Nope, we just make sure it’s all random.

Okay to Ashbury now. I feel that this past year you guys have made a effective slash into the skateboard world, with your growing team of “house hold names”(I don’t think I could justify house hold names, but simply put: your team is legit) Anyway, are you getting as much love from the concrete kids as you get from the snow kids?
Yeah it’s been amazing, the sunglasses are doing really well because of it. The skate team is seriously all of my favorite skaters, so I couldn’t be more hyped. There’s some crazy shit in the works right now that will make the skate side that much better. We’ve also got soem pretty crazy snow news that we are dropping next week.

Would Steve Berra be pissed if you leaked when the Berrics x Ashbury shades will be released, right here right now?
Haha yeah, cause those things gotta drop right when you least expect it. We’ve gotten hundreds of emails about it since the video. The Berrics really does runs skateboarding.

What Ashbury logo do you like better, the one with the shades on top or the one with the two slashes at the end?
The OG one with the shades, the slashes was a secondary logo last year, but we got a new secondary logo coming out for fall 10-11 that I like better than both.

It seems to me Ashbury is very musically inspired, suggest an album the people reading this should download.
Anything from Howlin’ Wolf, Los Saicos (self tittled), anything by Sonny boy williamson.

Do you have a soft good or two laying around, you would be down to ship me? I’ll hook you up shipping money. We will do an ANUF x Nima contest and hook a kid up with your stuff?
